4月25日(周四)上午10点,来自瑞士伯尔尼大学的Jean-Louis Reymond教授受洪文晶教授邀请,再次访问厦门大学,并在卢嘉锡202做题为“Antimicrobial Peptide Dendrimers and Bicyclic Peptides from Chemical Space”的学术讲座。
讲座摘要:
There is an urgent need to develop new antimicrobial agents to fight multidrug resistant (MDR) bacteria, which represent a public health threat in the hospital environment worldwide. My group focuses on Gram-negative MDR strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, which are particularly problematic. In this lecture, I will discuss the experiments that led us from our initial studies with antibiofilm dendrimer agents identified by combinatorial chemistry approaches, to our latest antimicrobial peptide dendrimers cyclic and bicyclic peptides identified using an innovative chemical space guided discovery strategy. I will also discuss structure-function relationships in our peptide dendrimers and bicyclic peptides.
