Wenjing Hong

Wenjing Hong is a full professor and vice dean at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Xiamen University. He received his B.Sc. from Xiamen University in 2007, his M.Sc. degree from Tsinghua University in 2009,  and his Ph.D. of Science (summa cum laude) from the University of Bern in 2013. After his postdoctoral stay at the University of Bern, he joined Xiamen University as a full professor and group leader in 2015. He is also a professor at the institute of artificial intelligence, Xiamen University.

His research is mainly focused on the characterization technique exploring single-molecule physical chemistry at the solid-liquid interface and the instrumental development combining artificial intelligence and laboratory automation for industrial chemistry. He has also developed the instruments for the electrical characterization of single-molecule physical chemistry, and his current interests include single-molecule charge transport, molecular assemblies and chemical reactions under electric fields.

Wenjing Hong has published papers as the (co-)corresponding author in peer-review journals such as Nat. Mater. (2), Nat. Chem.(1), Nat. Catal.(1), Nat. Commun. /Sci. Adv. (8),  Chem /Matter (5), PNAS. , J. Am. Chem. Soc. (12), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (17), Acc. Chem. Res./Chem. Soc. Rev.(2), and invited reviews in Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., Angew. Chem., and Adv. Mater. All these papers have been cited more than 8000 times.
