• We are exploring molecular electronics, catalysis, and assembly towards energy conversion and sensing applications. The ultimate goal of our highly interdisciplinary research is to design and synthesize materials from the interplay of chemistry, physics, and engineering at  single-molecule scale.
  • We are developing instruments towards single-molecule electrochemistry, spectroscopy and charge transport characterization. We are also developing 3D Graphene Printer, Peptide Synthesizer, Smart Medical Imaging System with support from industry.
π-Lab@XMU was established in 2015.5 by Prof. Wenjing Hong on chemical and instrumental engineering, Associate Prof. Jia Shi on chemical process control, and Assistant Prof. Yang Yang on molecular electronics and micro-fabrication, and working together with the molecular electronics team in Prof. Zhong-qun Tian’s lab. We are a interdisciplinary team from Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Department of Chemistry, and Pen-Tung Sah Institute of Micro-Nano Science and Technology, Xiamen University.
π-Lab is also a member of  State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces (www.pcoss.org),  Collaborative Innovation Center of Chemistry for Energy Materials (2011-ichem.com), and National Engineering Laboratory for Green Chemical Productions of Alcohols-Ethers-Esters (nel.xmu.edu.cn).

厦门大学单分子科学、精密仪器与工业人工智能实验室(π-Lab.XMU)由国家“优青”、福建省闽江学者特聘教授、厦门大学化学化工学院化工系系主任洪文晶教授、师佳副教授与萨本栋微纳研究院杨扬助理教授共同带领的六十余名博硕士研究生和工程研发队伍组成的跨院系跨学科研究团队,以精密仪器和人工智能研发为特色,与田中群院士实验室密切合作,进行单分子电子学研究和该尺度下的催化反应、分子组装行为的探索。以此为基础,积极开发单分子技术在光电材料辅助设计、能源转换器件优化、分子药物筛选、食品安全和高灵敏度环境传感器的应用。我们也在进行一系列面向国家战略需求和产业需求的精密仪器和过程人工智能探索,侧重于发展基于人工智能的新药研发和智能反应器设计、超高精度精密控制和超高灵敏度精确测量和传感技术,以及三维打印等智能制造系统研发。

我们团队加入了固体表面物理化学国家重点实验室(www.pcoss.org)、2011能源材料化学协同创新中心(2011-ichem.com)、醇醚酯化工清洁生产国家工程实验室(nel.xmu.edu.cn)和纳米材料制备技术国家地方联合研究中心。
